Journal entry 133--Wanted

Is there something you've always wanted to do or have? If you could have it right now, what would it be?


I've always wanted to have chickens in my yard. I'm not sure why I've wanted this, but the thought of fresh eggs is intriguing. Chickens also can help eat all the nasty little bugs that hurt gardens and their manure can be used for fertilizer. I think I like the idea of living independent of others and knowing where your food is coming from. There are so many reasons to raise chickens, but alas, the area where I live won't allow them. Fortunately for me, my friend has 13 chickens and she is happy to share fresh eggs with me.
