Journal entry 27--Dentist

Write about an experience while visiting the dentist. Was it traumatic or pleasant? Describe what happened.

I have dentaphobia and it stems from early childhood dental visits. I think my dentist was becoming demented because while filling a cavity he felt that I didn't need anesthesia. It ended up that I did need to be numbed because while drilling he hit a nerve and sent me through the roof. To make matters worse he still didn't numb me even though I was in tears. Now I'm scarred for life by dentists. I would actually rather give birth than get a cavity filled!
